There are German Houses of Science and Innovations in 5 cities of the world – New Delhi, Tokyo, New York, Sao Paolo, and Moscow (the latter was founded in 2009). All of them are functioning under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Science of Germany. Primary aim of the DWIH is to provide information support, coordinate and promote cooperation between German and foreign scientific organizations and scientists.

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation – It is the federal executive body of Russia that exercises functions on the formulation of state policy and regulations in the field of education, scientific, research and innovative activities, advancement of federal centers for science and high technologies, state research centers and tech cities, as well as intellectual property.


Innovative center “Skolkovo” (Russian “Silicon Valley”) — It is a modern scientific and technological complex that is being built now for the development and commercialization of new technologies. Specific economic conditions will be created within the complex for the companies realizing their activities in the priority branches of the Russian economy modernization: telecommunications and space, medical technology, energy efficiency, information technologies, and nuclear technologies.


Russian Foundation for Fundamental Research — It is a self-regulating state non-profit organization in the form of federal enterprise under the supervision of the Russian Federation Government. It was founded in accordance with the resolution No. 426 of the RF President dated April 27, 1992 “On the high priority measures on preservation of RF scientific and technological potential”. The Foundation’s aim is to support research works in every field of fundamental science, promotion of raising of scientists’ qualification, development of scientific contacts, including support for the international scientific cooperation in the field of fundamental research.
